Before finalizing the concept for the type of restaurant Mrs. Willis wanted, she walked over to the former Quik Trip on Eastwood Trafficway and conducted a marketing survey. After a few hours and speaking with about 100 people, close to 95% of them stated they wanted to see a soul food restaurant. On July 19th, 1996, The Original Peachtree Buffet opened.
